Our little girl took her first steps on September 10, 2010. Now the trouble begins!
This summer, 2010, my oldest had the opportunity to take a Karate Class at summer camp. The camp actually gave enough hours for him to take his white belt exam which was pretty exciting. Here are a couple of videos we made of the experience.

About a month ago I found a video by this group and showed it to my kids. They loved it, but I didn’t really know anything about them or hadn’t seen any of their CD’s in any stores, so I kind of let it go back to my mind. About 2 weeks passed and I saw someone mention them on twitter and promptly followed them there http://twitter.com/slugsandbugs and was able to get a CD. (Thanks a lot guys!).
We have been listening to them in the car now for a week or so and my kids ask about them every time we get in the car and sing their songs around the house, going out to eat, and basically everywhere else we go. (My 3 year old is sitting in front of me right now singing one of their songs.)
So, why the post, here’s a recommendation! If you have kids and are looking for a positive alternative for them that is actually enjoyable to listen to with them, here’s one to check out. Also, if you work with kids, you may even want to check them out to see if they would be able to come do a concert.

It was a rare snowy day here in Birmingham, Alabama so I decided to go for a drive and enjoy the sights. These are several clips I made and put together to enjoy and remember.
We had the chance this past weekend to go to Overton Park in Mountain Brook to play with some friends. It was a beautiful day!
